I was responsible for tweeting to more than 3 million followers from the @SkyNewsBreak account. Controlling the account from inside the Sky News gallery, I had access to the latest news lines.

 

Using information from the newsdesk, wire services and Sky News correspondents around the world, the account often breaks national and international news stories before any other organisation.

 

When the UK terror threat level was downgraded from 'critical' to 'severe' the Reuters news agency cited my tweet to send the information to its clients.
